Youth Support

The CALD Youth Development Project (funded by the NSW Department of Families and Community Services under the Community Builders program) identifies the needs of young people, from culturally and  linguistically diverse communities in the Mt Druitt area and Blacktown in general, and responds by developing programs and activities that address their needs. The main role of the project is to work with young people, aged 12 to 24 years, from CALD communities and their families in order to establish and deliver appropriate services to meet their needs.

Youth Support

The project provides social inclusion programs, events, provision of information and referral and community information sessions and workshops. The Homework Support Program has been provided to children and youth in order to increase young people’s access and participation in education, training, employment, health and general community participation in the Australian life.
